One of the smallest true 4k Analog drones around

The goal of this project was to make an analog drone with on board 4k recording abilities as small as possible. Because of the use of the Runcam Hybrid 2, I needed to Make a custom frame. Due to the small size, 3d printing was appropriate for this project. This drone runs on 2s and contains mostly common off the shelf parts, the prints are freely available from my Thingiverse page linked below.

Required parts:

  • 3D printed frame

  • 3D printed 25.5-20 adaptor

  • 3D printed top plate

  • 3D printed TPU battery holder

  • 300mah 2s lihv batteries

  • Micro crossfire antenna or similar for your protocol

  • Dipole 5.8ghz video antenna

  • Runcam Hybrid 2 camera

  • 4 x 1102 10,000kv motors (I used GepRC)

  • 40mm 1mm shaft props (I used Gemfan Biblade, you might like quad blade better)

  • Xt30 female connector

  • Rush Tiny Tank VTX

  • Crossfire Nano RX or your preferred receiver. You could save a gram or two by going with built in ELRS

  • AIO FC (I went with a JHEMCU F405 Pro 25amp)

  • Small capacitor (mostly optional, but it is a good idea even on 2s)

  • Tools, wires, M2 hardware
